Millie in Moorehead KY

We went to visit our friends the Ferguson's in Moorehead KY last weekend for the first time since Millie came home. I know that I have talked about them in the early post, before we received our referral but just in case you need to be refreshed. We met Chuck, the children you see in the pictures Dad, 2 years ago while tailgating for UK football. I don't know if you all know this but I was having a very difficult time with the waiting process in our adoption at this time. And a friend of Chucks told us about his pictures of his kids, they said you would not believe how beautiful they are. Unknowing of what to expect I met Chuck and he showed me his babies. I started to get very emotional as he told us their ages and where they were adopted from. How long they waited for their son Zeke, which is from Cambodia. He told his story to me on a night that I will never forget. He invited us down to meet Lori and his kids to Moorehead. He wanted me to see the happy ending. He kept telling us you have to hold on. That we had it in us to wait this time out. Come home to my family and you will see how much they have brought to us. So we did, and I fell in love with them all. Lori brought out all of their photo albums. She cried with me as I looked through the pictures that seemed to never be in my house at the time. But this family kept us going by showing us their love and happiness. I can't believe now that I was ever in that place of sadness. Wondering if my baby would ever come home to me. If she would ever look at me the way Zoey, Zeke and Zara look at Lori and Chuck. Thank you for your words and love Chuck and Lori. Look Chuck our kids ARE playing together one day. Love you both and your babies.
