This week

Not much going on with us. We went camping last weekend. Millie had a blast swimming and riding on the golf cart. One of the only times she sat still all weekend. She loves to ride and look at all of the people and animals around us. My grand baby and her family came up to visit with us so Millie got to play and scream at Kaelin and who ever else she wanted. Kaelin and Derrick got into the markers and made some pretty pictures. My niece Bevin came up with her pregnant belly. She is having a girl in December. We can't wait for the newest edition to the family. Which brings me to the latest member Haylee, my brothers baby. Guess who is going to be one of her Godmothers? Millie's Momma. I'm so honored and happy. My sister Karen and I are going to be her Godmothers this Saturday night at church. I think it's so special to be asked to be one. Haylee is my second godchild. I'm Carson's Godmother too. I just can't believe that I've been chosen twice in my life to be their children's Godmother. I'm very touched.
Millie is going to be going to Aunt Karen's house for her last day of no daycare tomorrow. She's been having a blast with Mamaw and Papaw, but it's back to the childcare on Monday. I will let everyone know how it goes. I'm trying to keep an open mind to all of it, as much as I can. Millie is really growing up and I think that walking is coming soon. Some of you that haven't had the chance to see her lately, will be surprised.

Millie and Update on Greg

First I would like to thank everyone for praying for my brother and our family. He is home and doing well. Greg is going through medical problems and we are still praying for him and his family. I'm trying to respect him and his children by not going into what is going on with him, but we love you and want you to keep that warm loving smile and zest for life that you have always had. We did finally get to see Halee this past weekend and she is adorable. So small and quiet. I told her Momma that I can't believe she and Greg had such a small baby. Their kids are usually big. Millie looked really big compared to her, and Millie weighs 14.5 pounds at 11 months old. I can't believe how much Millie has changed. I looked back on the blog and she has really come along way. She is pulling up and crawling, (kind of) she is dancing and slamming doors as I type. She is really getting around the house and I'm worried about her energy level. I did take her out of the daycare that she was in, I found a woman that watches children 1-4 in her home and that's where she's going. I just didn't feel comfortable with the way things were going, and Millie didn't like it either. Paul's mom and Jim are watching her until I can get her changed over and they have been a huge help . Thanks to you both, Millie loves it at her Maw maw and Pap-paws. I hope you enjoy the new pictures, Kaelin turned 2 and had a fun day.

Prayers

This post is going to be different than the past post, but I want to ask for a favor. I would like all of you that are following our families blog to pray for my brother and his family. Greg is a very sick man and needs some answered prayers. We are blessed with Millie and my brother too has a new baby in his family, she is almost 3 weeks old, Halee. But he is having some serious medical problems that have to do with his Muscular Dystrophy. He is always the rock in our family, finding the words to say that make things that seem so huge become very small to the ones that are fortunate enough to get to hear them. I have watched that man overcome some of the biggest obstacles in life and never complain. Even tonight while laying in the ICU bed he just can't find it in himself to complain about why this is happening to him. Why does one man have to endure such a impossible situation is hard for me to understand. He is the most inspiring person I know and I love him very much. I hope you will all keep him in your prayers. He has 4 children and a wonderful wife that want him home and well. Needless to say, I do too. Anyone that has the chance to know and love him is a better person because of him. Bless my big brother God, keep him safe.

Millie

Millie and Grandma
Having fun with my cousins!!!!

Millie and Amber

So we have been going to Daycare for almost 2 weeks now. Millie has already missed 2 days from being sick with a virus. She is doing better now but she was feeling pretty bad for about 3 days. Millie has come so far in the past couple of weeks and I don't know if it's the Daycare or just Millie. She can go from a crawl to a sit and . She is pulling up in her baby bed, fun fun. She is moving in her army crawl position. Going out of the room and down the hallway in about 5 seconds. She is saying boom boom and other words that I don't know for sure but sounds like dog. Trying to bark and mocking the dogs. Things that she is having trouble with are, won't take a bottle from the care takers at school. She may go all day without eating. But we are working on that. It is part of her not wanting to bond with them. She is so tired when she comes home from taking such short naps. But her care givers tell me she is having so much fun, and they are in love with her already. Betty lights up when Millie comes in the room and that makes me feel so good. I wish that I could be with her everyday but I guess things are going as well as I can hope for.
